Sea of Hope (Rock Demo)

by Rob Roper

The Misfit Club exclusive

about

I started this song in 2009 finished it in January, 2010. But actually, that applies to the chorus only. I lifted the verses from a song I had started probably back in 2005 and never finished.

I recorded an acoustic version my The Other Side of Nowhere album in 2012. I played it live for many years in my acoustic band, Scupanon, but always saw it as a rock song, and had been meaning to make a rock demo of it. I finally got around to it this month, 10 years after I wrote it.

I hope to play this song live with my new rock band, and record a rock version of it, similar to this demo, on my new album.
